We help caregivers by providing home care and day care solutions that will enhance the quality of life for their loved ones.

Welcome to

A New Beginning for You, Inc.

A New Beginning for You was established May 2005 in Troy, AL by Patricia & John Wright. Patricia’s background in social work inspired her vision to establish an adult day care center. Her experience in working with children in early intervention made her realize the lack of resources for children that transition out of special education, causing a strain on their caregiver. She also recognized families who needed assistance taking care of loved ones who need daily living care.

A New Beginning for You is a non-medical, non-profit organization adult day care. We provide care and supervision, monitoring of general health and social interaction for the impaired, physically, or mentally with conditions such as stroke, arthritis, or vision loss.

The staff provides care for individuals who cannot be left alone during the day but don’t require 24-hour institutional nursing care. Our services may allow family members to return to work, shop, or have free time to themselves.

We pay individualized attention to specialized needs, and we emphasize what each participant can do, not what they can’t do. At our daycare center, there are opportunities to make new friends and build meaningful relationships. The center offers emotional reassurance to participants and caregivers alike. Staffed by a team of professionally trained staff and volunteers dedicated to the care and comfort of program participants, working together to create a nurturing environment and provide a comprehensive array of services.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to serve as an advocate for adult clients – 18 years and older, by helping them to achieve a better quality of life. We help adults to secure and maintain independence and dignity of self-care with the appropriate supportive services. Our goal is to remove individual and social barriers to economic and personal independence for older individuals and to provide a continuum of care for vulnerable populations.

Client Testimonials

“Ms. Wright always has special treats for us and keeps surprising us. I love that! This is one of the reasons why I have been coming here for the last thirteen years and I will keep coming.”

Yvonne Warren

“I love it here! We get so much to eat; I look forward to coming here everyday. I get up at 4:30am and when the bus comes to pick me up, I am ready and sitting on the porch waiting. Everyone is so friendly out here; the workers are so good. I’ve got many friends here and sometimes I forget and wake up early on Sunday too.”

Ethel Mae Lampley

“I love the things we do here. My most memorable and favorite crafts are the ones I make over Easter. I have one I keep in my house; it is a bunny with large ears. I can’t wait for next Easter.”
